Bookings for Flu Vaccinations are now OPEN for all Peak Pharmacy locations across Geelong.
Annual Flu Vaccination is the most important measure to prevent influenza and its complications. It is even more important now than ever before. With COVID-19 restrictions easing and borders re-opening, it is possible that we will see a resurge in flu cases in 2022.
The highest level of protection occurs within the first 3-4 months of having your flu vaccination. Ideally, you should have your vaccination before the onset of influenza season. Influenza season in most parts of Australia is usually from June to September. Having your flu vaccination from April will provide the best protection for the peak flu season.
ATAGI (Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation) have advised that your influenza vaccine may be co-administered (given on the same day) with a COVID-19 vaccine.
We encourage all those over 65 to consider having their Winter Dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at the same time as their Flu vaccine.

Please note that our Pharmacists Immunisers can administer vaccines to anyone over the age of 10 years.
